In Memory of Jerry Koenig
Jerry Alan Koenig, 68, of Turtle Lake died Sunday, March 31, 2019. He was born October 7, 1950 in Almena, WI to Gottlieb and Esther (Zell) Koenig. Jerry began his education at Maple Grove school in Almena, and finished in Cumberland.
He was married in Turtle Lake, on November 7, 1972 to Sue Ann Miller. Not long after getting married, Jerry and Sue Ann bought the farm that they milked cows on for 40 years. It is the same farm that they raised their daughters on. When Jerry was not out in the barn milking cows, he could be found hunting on the farm. Jerry was the proud captain of the Pool League from Cumberland and Almena.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Ann; 2 daughters: Julie (Jacob) Ludwig, Samantha (Brian) Stoll; 4 grandchildren: MaraJade and Vincent Stoll, Isabelle and Victor Ludwig; his mother, Esther Moschkau; 4 sisters: Diane (Ivan) Clarke, Beverly (John) Tempel, Betty (Gary) Dueholm, June (Paul) Hines; 3 brothers: Larry (Penny) Koenig, Dale (Mary) Koenig, Stanley (Nancy) Koenig; many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his dad, Gottlieb and sister, Eldora Williamson.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, April 6, 2019 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church - Almena with Pastor Preston Paul officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-7 PM Friday, April 5, 2019 at the Skinner Funeral Home in Turtle Lake, and from 9-10 AM on Saturday at the church. Honorary pallbearers are Luke Koenig, Jeremy Roff, Brandon Doe, Aaron Koenig, Jackie Henck, and Jessica Guthrie.
