John Arnold Kelnhofer, age 57, of Rice Lake, WI, died Saturday, March 29, 2025 in Rice Lake. He was born on September 21, 1967 in Rice Lake to Richard “Dick” and Midge (Siewert) Kelnhofer.

John graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1986. He attended UW Barron County Campus and graduated from UW LaCrosse and graduated with a Computer Science degree. John was married to Ashley Miller on September 19, 2009 in Rice Lake. John worked for Rice Lake Weighing Systems for many years as a Senior Software Engineer. In his younger years he enjoyed playing bass guitar with his cousin, Paul Kelnhofer. He enjoyed golfing, watching the Green Bay Packers; loved teasing/being with his nieces and nephews and spending time with his wife, Ashley and their fur babies.

He is survived by his wife, Ashley Kelnhofer; his mother, Midge Kelnhofer; 5 sisters, Chris Walters, Cheryl Iben, Teresa Bruce, Susan (Bob) Nelson and Jody Gargulak; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard “Dick” Kelnhofer; his grandparents, Arnold Kelnhofer, Adeline Wiesner and Dan & Edna Siewert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Friday, April 4, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rice Lake, Father Joseph Kumar officiating, with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM Thursday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake and for one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the Church on Friday.
