In Memory of John "Tony" Myer

January 18, 1941 - April 28, 2026

John “Tony” Myer was born on January 18, 1941, in Hayward, Wisconsin. He attended Hayward High School, where he proudly played football for the Hurricanes.

After graduating in 1960, John enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Colorado Springs for four years. During his service, he played baseball for the Air Force, and it was there that he met the love of his life, Violet. They were married following his time in the service.

John and Violet made their home in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where he began his career with Snap-on Tools. A devoted Los Angeles Dodgers fan, John also gave back to his community by coaching Christian Youth Little League football for nine and a half years, leading the Pee Wee Cardinals. During their time in Kenosha, John and Violet also owned and managed several rental properties.

Known for his strong work ethic and inability to sit still, John embraced retirement by moving north to Stone Lake, Wisconsin—a place he had always loved. There, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Together, John and Violet owned and operated storage units that served the community for over eleven years. John was also a proud outdoorsman and a past member of the Stone Lake Fire Department.

John is survived by his loving wife, Violet; his two sons, Cal Myer (Burlington) and Tim Myer (Val Myer) of Phoenix; three granddaughters, Alyssa, Zoey, and Maddie; and two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Kennedy. He is also survived by his brother, Joe Myer, of Stone Lake.

John will be remembered for his love of family, music and dancing.

A celebration of life will be held from 4:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Stone Lake Fire Hall.
