Jonas Allen Bearheart “Biidaanakwad”, age 40, a resident of Hayward passed away on February 28, 2021.

Jonas was born on August 8, 1980 in Cumberland to Daniel Taylor and Julieanne Bearheart.

Jonas was a handyman and spent a number of years working at the casino where he was a security guard and took care of the vault as well as accounting/bookkeeping. He enjoyed helping people and was known as a spiritual advisor.

In his free time, he went for walks, spent time fishing, stopping off for a little gambling and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Julieanne.

Jonas leaves behind his father, Danny Taylor; brother, Jaried Bearheart; life partner, Charlene Sutherland; step daughter, Kaylene Bearheart; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A funeral service for Jonas will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the St. Croix Tribal Center with Lee Staples officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Plain Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kelly Eagleman, Kini Hart, Jeremy Lambert, Kyle Bauer, Richard Saddler, and Frankie Bildeau. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchel LaSarge, Ryan Decorah, Zack Howard, Gage Lindemann, Tony Parisian and Alvin Oustigoff.

Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster.
