February 10, 1987 - February 11, 2021

Joseph D. Babineau, age 34, of LCO, passed away suddenly, February 11, 2021 at Hayward Area Memorial Hospial.

Joseph Daniel Babineau was born February 10, 1987 in St. Paul, MN, the son of Daniel and Gloria (Potack) Babineau.

He graduated from Hayward High School in 2005. Joe also attended US Stout, MITC, and Lac Courte Oreilles colleges. He loved to learn and meet new people. Joe’s passion was woodworking and made several pieces for his mother and friends. He was a big family man, spending time with his nieces and nephews. Begin able to take care of his family was something Joe was very proud to do. When people talk about Joe, it’s his smile and big heart that comes to mind, along with his love of Ben Harper. He went to a lot of his concerts over the years, sharing that music with family and friends. His life was filled with so much love and his courage to live life the way he did influenced so many people.

He is survived by his mother Gloria Babineau (Randy Hill); sister Danielle Babineau (Robert Corbine Sr.); brothers Daniel and Brent Babineau; nieces Rihanna Reede, Mallory Babineau; and nephews Dravek Babineau and Robert Corbine Jr.

Joe was preceded in death by his father Daniel Babineau Sr; cousin Stanley Quagon III; and grandmothers Marie and Dorothy.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in New Post. Father Gregory Hopeful will officiate with music provided by Sister Felissa Zander. Burial will be in New Post Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 16th at Pineview Funeral Service in Hayward, prior to processing to church for Mass.

Casket Bearers will be Michael Anderson, Daniel Babineau, Scott Babineau, Cory Cross, Kaden Martin and Lyle Wiggins.
