Joseph John Blechinger, age 81 of Almena passed away at home on June 22, 2024. He was born February 13, 1943 in Rice Lake, WI to Herman and Elizabeth (Becker) Blechinger.

He was married in Eau Claire, WI on May 2, 1964 to Jean Shepler. The two operated a family farm with their four children for 35 years.

He is survived by wife, Jean; children Ray (Dawn) Blechinger, Nanette Dodge, Tammy Ross (Jared Becker); grandchildren Rhandi (Dan), Kayla (Kyle), Tasha (Justin), Brian (Shannon), Mitchell (Katelyn), Damion (Taylor), Brooke (Brandon), Jordan (Cassie), Brady (Cheyanne);14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Jane Leschisin.

Joseph was preceded in death by son, Thomas Blechinger; son-in-law, Brian Dodge; parents, Herman and Elizabeth; sisters, Patricia Hoffmann, and Barbara Etlicher.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The Church of the Sacred Heart of Almena on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 11 AM. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 PM - 7PM on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Skinner Funeral Home of Turtle Lake, and one hour prior to the Mass on Friday at church.

Skinner Funeral Home of Turtle Lake is serving the family.
