In Memory of Joshua J. Staples


May 12, 1981 - June 24, 2022

Joshua Jerome Staples, age 41, of Menominee, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 24th, 2022.

He was born to Vicki Yerke and Vance Staples on May 12th, 1981 in Grantsburg, Wisconsin.

Josh worked in the union with the Minnesota Iron Workers 512.

Josh was an amazing husband and soul mate, a great father and wonderful friend. He was filled with a bubbly, funny, outgoing personality who loved to scare people. He Loved his family and friends dearly. Josh was a great provider and would do anything for his family. He loved '80s hair bands, singing, playing the drums, golfing, snowboarding, hiking, sports especially hockey, his MN Vikings, and hunting. But most of all he loved spending time with his family, playing with the kids, making the grandbabies laugh until they fell asleep on his chest and loving his wife whom he enjoyed traveling with to see and experience new places together.

Josh is proceeded in death by his mother, Vickie (Yerke) Johnson; father, Vance Staples; aunts, Beth Yerke and Rose Maihaley; uncle's, Bob and Don Yerke.

He leaves behind his soulmate and wife, Aleisha (Klatt) Staples; his unborn child; his children, Brayden 15, Alexis 12, Brennen 8, Taylor Ann 12, Paisley Rose 6, stepson's, Dectreise 20, Augustus 18, Taheton, 17 and Avontae 13; one granddaughter, Athena; one Grandson, Dectreise Jr; stepfather, David Johnson; brother's, Jared (Layney) Yerke and Jeremy Yerke; sisters, Jennifer (Staples) Stoner, and Heidi (Staples) Rand; sister-in-law, Kayla Sausi (Timmy); father-in-law, Michael Klatt (Tammy); mother-in-law, Renee Peterson; aunties, Cindy Daniels, Maxine Holmes, Jan Todd, and Lori; uncle's, Dennis and Perry Staples; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. Until we reunite Josh will be deeply loved and missed unconditionally always and forever.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 10th, 2022 at 11:00 AM (visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 AM) at the Holly Cross fellowship (5558 Hwy 70 Webster, WI) with Pastor Jack Swonger officiating.

Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster.
