In Memory of Julie Raven


May 8, 1979 - April 29, 2019

Julie Raven, age 39 of Hayward, Wisconsin died on Monday, April 29, 2019 in Hayward. Julie Anne Raven was born May 8, 1979 in Hayward, WI, the daughter of Keith and Patricia Raven. She was raised in Hayward and graduated from Hayward high school in 1997. Julie continued her education at University of North Dakota in Grand Forks receiving a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology. She then moved to New York City where she attended the Fashion Institute of Technology, receiving a degree in Fashion Merchandise Management.

Through her passion and dedication to her career, Julie had the privilege of living and working in diverse places across the country including locations such as Minneapolis, Manchester, NH, Boston, New York City, St. Petersburg and Clearwater FL.  As a professional image consultant, she worked live TV with models, producers and set designers.  She assisted people as a wedding coordinator and held seminars before groups of women to inspire them in all aspects of fashion and image enhancement.

Along the way, Julie touched the lives of countless individuals with her unending optimism and zest for life combined with a strong desire to bring happiness and joy to all. This naturally extended beyond her career to her many adoring family members, friends and loved ones. Julie truly had a gift for making people feel good about themselves inside and out. Her gentle spirit and magnetic personality brought a spark to any crowd and sunshine to the cloudiest of days.

Julie is survived by her parents, Pat Raven of Hayward, WI, Keith (Linda Kewith) Raven of Hayward, WI; two sisters, Angela (Chad) Corbin of Elm Grove, WI, Lisa (Juan) Raposo of Odessa, FL; maternal grandmother, Annabelle Sauer; two nieces, Caneel and Charlotte; one nephew, Lincoln; and her beloved dog, Dolce Vita.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Raven; and maternal grandfather, Arthur Sauer.

A Memorial Service will be held for Julie at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 4 at the Hayward Wesleyan Church. There will be a time of visitation between 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 3 at the Hayward Wesleyan Church and also one hour prior to the service at the church.
