In Memory of June Crandall


May 12, 1937 - April 14, 2019

June Alice Crandall Age 81, of Rice Lake, WI died peacefully and went home to be with the Lord on Palm Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire, WI.

She was born on May 12, 1937 in Rice Lake to Basil and Alice (O’Neill) Colbert. June graduated from the Rice Lake High School in 1955 and was married to Eugene “Gene” Crandall on October 13, 1956 in Minneapolis, MN. She was a paramedic and was in the purchasing department at the Lakeview Medical Center for 35 years. June was a quiet presence in the room but she will be greatly missed and lost forever. She enjoyed her cat, being active at St. Joseph Catholic Church, making coffee and setting up for events at Red Cedar Village and especially loved being with her family for holidays and dinners.

She is survived by her 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Steven Moullette of Rice Lake, Kathy and Michael Schwartz of Hudson, WI and Shari Crandall (Casey Krueger) of Portage, WI; 8 grandchildren, Shanna (Scott) Schweitzer and Austin Moullette; Brandon (Ashlee), Jennifer and Tyler Schwartz; Abigail, Samual and Olivia Johnson; 3 great grandchildren, Oscar Schweitzer, Lily and Landree Schwartz; 3 sisters, Linda (Dave) Adams of Cameron, WI, LuAnn (Bernie) Brooten of Cameron, WI and Nancy (Glen) Benish of Cumberland, WI; 4 brothers, James (Shirley) Colbert of St. Anthony, MN, Patrick (Mary) Colbert of Princeton, MN, Richard Colbert of Apple Valley, MN and Thomas (Denille) Colbert of Rice Lake; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene “Gene” Crandall; her parents, Basil and Alice Colbert; and a sister-in-law, Linda Colbert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rice Lake, Father Ed Anderson officiating, with interment in the Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM Monday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake and for one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the Church. God truly blessed us by this wonderful lady and her life. She was the closest thing to an angel on earth.

In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Barron County Humane Society.
