In Memory of Karen McArthur

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Karen McArthur, who entered into the arms of her Lord on July 5, 2026, at the age of 75. She was born in Pennsylvania on May 15, 1951

Karen’s life was one of perseverance, strength, and grace through life’s many seasons. She experienced both joys and hardships, yet her life leaves behind a legacy of family, memories, and love that will continue for generations.

Karen was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her children: Korena (Marcus) Ray, Roy Charles "RC" (Heather) Leach; stepchildren: Franklin McArthur, Helen, George McArthur, Juliann; grandchildren: Zachary, Tamika, Roxanne, Ashley, Jr., Anthony; 8 Great-grandchildren; sister, Cathy Buckwalter, brothers, Nick Metz and Gary (Darlla) Metz; nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Karen was preceded in death by, Clyde McArthur Jr.; parents; stepdaughter, Jaylynn; brother, Richard Wadsworth; and niece, Denise Odenbreit.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to her loving sister, Cathy, whose unwavering devotion, compassion, and selfless care allowed Karen to remain surrounded by love during her final chapter. Cathy was a constant source of comfort and strength, and her kindness will never be forgotten. The family is also deeply grateful to Karen’s nieces and nephews for their love, support, visits, prayers, and the many ways they surrounded her with care.

Though our hearts are broken, we find peace in knowing Karen is no longer suffering and has found eternal rest in the presence of God.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

Karen’s life reminds us that family is not measured by time or distance but by love. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and though she is gone from our sight, she will never be gone from our hearts.

Rest peacefully, Karen. You are loved, you are missed, and you will be remembered always.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Skinner Funeral Home, Turtle Lake. Burial will be in Meadow Creek Cemetery, Cameron. Visitation will be from one hour prior.
