December 26, 1954  -  December 31, 2017

Kathleen Zoe (Heller) MacCourt, age 63, a resident of Trego, passed away on December 31, 2017 with her loving husband Chuck, her two daughters, and one of her sisters by her bedside.

Katie was the oldest of four sisters born to Howard S. Heller and Ellen Charbonneau Shaffer Heller in Shaker Heights, Ohio on December 26, 1954.  Katie was an independent woman with early wanderlust.  She was a strong, brave woman who bounced back from many adversities.  Katie was a caretaker for most of her working life, mostly as a CNA, in various nursing homes and assisted living homes.

Katie loved all manners of nature, plant, and animal. An avid gardener, she with her husband Chuck beside her, built a splendid garden from the ground up, which took five years.  Chuck and Katie lived in Trego, Wisconsin with their many animals.  She was a voracious reader and a do-it-yourselfer.  She was a person with many creative outlets, including knitting, playing piano, cross stitch, and she was a great cook.  Most importantly, she was a loving, compassionate person with love for anyone or anything she encountered.

She is survived by her husband Chuck, three children: Pam Ray, Kimberly Stoessel, and Joe Dansereau, nine grandchildren, younger sisters: Lea Heath, Ann Heller, and Hetty McMullen as well as many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents. 

All of us left behind feel as though that Katie never died, but was rather re-born to live in God’s hands forever.  Katie’s entire family sends its immeasurable gratitude for the so many people that provided their love and compassion during this most difficult time.  We pray that their hearts will be healed as well.
