
In Memory of Kathryn J. (Hodgson) Offord
Kathryn Joyce (Hodgson) Offord of Barron, entered her Savior’s presence on August 2, 2026. She was born in Rice Lake to Clifford and Helen Hodgson on July 31, 1939.
She graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1957. Kathy married John in 1959. Her first job was as a telephone operator. When John went into the insurance business, she became his secretary, where she remained until their retirement.
Kathy put her faith in Jesus Christ alone in 1975 and remained a faithful follower of Him all of her life. Music was an important part of her life, especially when combined with praise to her God. For many years Kathy participated in the community music club, book clubs, and Bible studies.
Kathy was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was thoughtful and caring, a good listener who always responded with encouragement and grace.
Kathy is survived by her husband, John; their three sons, Jeff (Donna) Offord, Jim (Karen) Offord, and Joel (Krystal) Offord; 10 grandchildren, Nate (Emily) Offord, Caleb (Nicole) Offord, Charis (Brett) Haschig, Mike (Karah) Offord, Amanda (Pete) Wagner, Abigail (Micah) Felber, Adam (Lydia) Offord, Molly Offord, Luke (Morgan) Offord, and Davis (Leah) Offord; 12 great-grandchildren, Evin Offord, Miles Offord, Kinsley Haschig, Bailey Offord, Aletheia Wagner, Elizabeth Wagner, Joshua Wagner, Caleb Wagner, Sophia Felber, Chloe Felber, Tobias Felber, and Jonathan Felber; and her sister, Donna Ormson.
Kathy was preceded in death by her two brothers, Dick Hodgson and Larry Hodgson.
Interment was at Wayside Cemetery in Barron. A memorial service is planned for this fall (date and time to be determined) at Calvary Baptist Church in Barron.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Camp Chetek or a charity of your choice.
