Kiven "Windy" Kinsey Lainberger, 87, of Barronett died Friday, January 12, 2018 at his home. He was born October 16, 1930 in Genesee, WI to Elbert and Gladys (Byrd) Lainberger. He was married in Beaver Dam, WI on December 16, 1950 to Louise Schweiger. Windy served with the Army National Guard and was called to active duty with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Kiven spent many years farming near Beaver Dam, drove gravel truck and logged for about twenty years until retiring at the age of 72. He was known for his outgoing personality and his ability to carry a conversation. 

  He is survived by his son, Paul Lainberger of Kronenwetter, WI; 2 grandchildren: Corey Lainberger of Fond Du Lac and Lori Lainberger of Lake Mills; 3 great grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Jolene and Emily; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife on May 4, 2010; brother, Duane (Barbara) Lainberger and sisters: Isabelle Sturm, Barbara Wagner, Genevieve Zuehlke. 

  A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, January 18, 2017 at Skinner Funeral Home - Shell Lake with Pastor officiating and full Military Honors accorded by the Shell Lake Honor Guard. Burial will be in Leipsic Memorial Cemetery, Beaver Dam, WI. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
