June 12, 1952 - March 20, 2017

Larry Allen Nelson, age 64, formerly of Spooner, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at his residence in Frederic, WI. He was born June 12, 1952 in Superior, WI, the son of Arthur and Alice (Mack) Nelson. 

Larry proudly served his country as a diesel mechanic in the United States Navy. After his service, Larry moved back to Detroit, MI where he worked for GM.  He eventually moved to his cabin in the woods outside of Siren, WI.  Larry also spent time as an over the road semi-truck driver and enjoyed his trips south to Florida.  Most of all he loved his family and was a gracious host when having visitors stay at his cabin.

He is survived by his siblings, Robert (Jeannie) Nelson of Barron, Chuck (Linda) Nelson of Frederic, Velma (Eddie) Chapman of Shell Lake, Rose (Henry) Matton of Rice Lake and Orin Daniels of Rice Lake; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Alice Daniels and his brother, Llewelyn Nelson.
