In Memory of Laura J. Clausen


February 2, 1960 - July 19, 2024

Laura Jean Clausen, affectionately known as Laurie, passed away on July 19, 2024, at the age of 64. She was born on February 2, 1960, in Somerset, WI, and had been residing in Amery, WI.

Laurie had a zest for life and was known for her infectious laughter and kind-hearted nature. She had many interests and hobbies, including solving crosswords, online shopping on Temu.com, and watching crime television shows. Spending time with her family brought her immeasurable joy.

Laurie had a particular fondness for certain foods, although it changes often, she loved bananas, shrimp scampi, Mounds chocolate & the loaded Pizza Man pizza. She also appreciated music. Cher, Celine Dion, Christmas songs and Classic country like Conway Twitty being among her favorites.

With an unwavering determination, Laurie pursued her dream of becoming a lawyer. Although she ultimately worked as a paralegal for 28 years, she loved going to work every day and found fulfillment in supporting the legal profession.

Above all else, Laurie cherished her family. Her love for her children and her husband, Ron, knew no bounds. She leaves behind her true love, Ron, her son Andrew James Frandsen (Natesha) and daughter Jeanie Louise Frandsen, along with her cherished grandchildren, Kaydence Ellane and Owen Brian.

Laurie enjoyed traveling but her heart was always at home. In her leisure time, she indulged in watching TV such as The Red & Green show, Andy Griffith, Law and Order, Perry Mason and NCIS. Football was her favorite sport and she found entertainment in cheering for her team.

Laurie fought terminal cancer for 20 years, displaying incredible strength. Her resilience surprised and inspired all who knew her. She was a warrior of a women, always defying the odds and never giving up.

In addition to her immediate family, Laurie is survived by her three stepsons Matthew, Mark, and Chad, as well as their children: Logan, Dylan, Evan, Tianna, Taylor, Cheyann & Hazel and many of her closest friends.

Laurie’s defining personality traits included her hilarious wit, selflessness, and unbelievable strength. She was always responsible, tidy and carried herself with grace. Her kindness was unmatched, and she touched the lives of many with her love and passion for life.

Laurie held strong Catholic beliefs and found solace in her spiritual journey.

The impact Laurie made on the lives of others cannot be compared. Her love and generosity were like a gift of angels, and her memory will forever be treasured by all who knew and loved her.
