Lenore Susan Reiser Age 93, of Turtle Lake, WI, died Wednesday, June 17, 2026 in Turtle Lake, with her loving family by her side. She was born on August 2, 1932 in Buffalo Grove, Illinois to Clemens and Josephine (Raupp) Weidner.

She married the love of her life, Gerald Freund, on July 28, 1951 in DesPlaines, Illinois. They lived in McHenry where they raised 5 children. She and Jerry enjoyed snowmobiling, square dancing and spending time at their second home in Turtle Lake, WI until Jerry’s passing in 1977.

In 1984 she married Ralph Reiser and moved to his farm in Missouri where they farmed until Ralph’s death in 1994. She then moved near her daughter in Darien, WI where she became an avid bowler. She loved people and worked most of her life as a waitress.

After she retired, she still enjoyed working at the election polls. In 2021 she moved with her son Duane to Turtle Lake, WI. This was where he and Jerry had planned to retire, and where he died unexpectedly. She wished to live out her life there as they had planned.

Lenore is survived by her 5 children, Edward Freund, Duane Freund, Barbara (Jerry) Becker, Carol Martin (Scott Roetz) and Mark Freund; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter; a brother, Norman Weidner; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gerald Freund and Ralph Reiser; a daughter, Yvonne Freund; a daughter-in-law, Pam Freund; 3 sisters, Madeline (Robert) Behm, Anita (Gerald) Hergott, Coletta (Joe) Lenzen; a sister-in-law, Kay Weidner. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
