Leonard John "Len" Olund, 91, of Rice Lake passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025, at Care and Rehab in Cumberland. He was born May 9, 1934, in Rice Lake, WI to John and Florence (Westerlund) Olund. Len graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1952 after which time he served in the U.S. Army for 2 years. Len married Sylvia Rubin in 1954 and they were blessed with their four children.

Len had an inquisitive mind and loved to learn. He earned a BS in Biology and Chemistry, and later a Masters in Zoology. Len went on to teach science in Madison at Van Hise Middle School for a couple years. He then entered the commercial real estate brokerage, investment and development business. Len moved to Florida in 1987, where he furthered his career as a general contractor in real estate construction.

He was married in Bradenton, FL on May 13, 1988, to Sue Smekens. They moved to Rice Lake in 2014.

He is survived by children: Cindy (Scott) Leonard, Debbie (Bob) Schlicht, Sandi Norsetter, and Steve Olund; grandchildren: Kevin (Jada) Leonard, David (Sara) Wetzel, Karin (Greg) Crist, Kyle (Amber) Norsetter, Nicole Norsetter, Ryan (Chelsey) Norsetter, Philipp (Laury) Norsetter, Schaynna Olund, Jade (Cody) Becker, and Trinity (Weston) Romuald; 20 great grandchildren; brothers: Ed Olund and Lloyd Olund; sister, Elaine Smoots; nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends. Len was preceded in death by his brother, Harvey Olund; infant sister, Ruth; son-in-law, Phil Norsetter; and sisters-in-law: Marion Olund and Dotty Olund.

Funeral services will be held at 12 PM Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Long Lake Lutheran Church with Pastor Roger Prois and Scott Leonard officiating. Burial will be in Long Lake Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 AM - 12 PM.
