Linda Andrea, age 75, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, October 28, 2024.

Linda was born on July 26, 1949, to Louis and Elaine (Bloomquist) Lenard. She grew up in Gary New Duluth, MN with her two sisters and brother. She attended Morgan Park High School and graduated in 1967. Just two years later, Linda would meet her husband, William "Bill" Andrea at Redwood Inn; a tavern Bill and his family owned on Big McKenzie Lake in Spooner, WI.

On October 11, 1969, Linda and Bill would marry and eventually settle in Spooner, WI. Here, they would celebrate 55 years of marriage and together, raise their two beautiful sons. Linda would say that her greatest joy in life were her boys and her family. Beyond her role as a mother, Linda worked at several local businesses before owning and operating their family-run business of 33 years: Andrea Distributing.

Linda cherished precious moments with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She took great pride in attending their sporting events (most notably hockey), first communions, numerous school functions, ministries, and more. They were her pride and joy and filled her heart with so much love.

Linda loved to garden, and one could often find her and Bill in the summer evenings swinging on the porch swing admiring her flowerbeds. She also loved to bake, especially birthday cakes; each was so intricately and beautifully decorated that they were actual works of art. Linda also loved to travel. She and Bill took advantage of their family timeshare each year to visit family and friends in Sedona, AZ and the Black Hills, SD.

Linda had the biggest heart and the most beautiful smile. She was a private and quiet person, but also very witty and fun. She was fearless, independent, and stubborn; but sensitive and incredibly compassionate. She will be missed and remembered by the many lives she touched.

Linda is survived by her husband: Bill Andrea of Spooner, WI; sons: Scott (Sarah) Andrea of Spooner, WI, and Brian (Rebekah Streit) Andrea of Jim Falls, WI; grandchildren: Colton (Gretchan) Andrea of Cottonwood, MN, and Thatcher and Reagan Andrea of Spooner, WI; great-grandchild: Charis Jane Andrea of Cottonwood, MN; sisters: Victoria Jakubek and Jolene Suer, and brother: John (Patricia) Lenard.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents.

A gathering to celebrate Linda’s life will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 4-6 p.m., at the Spooner Funeral Home with a time of remembrance at 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to Spooner Area Youth Hockey Association (SAYHA) or Happy Day Club in Spooner, WI. The family would also like to thank the staff of Regional Hospice Services and Palliative Care for their exemplary caregiving and support they provided to Linda and her family.
