In Memory of Linda M. Taylor
Linda Mae Taylor, age 77, resident of Grantsburg, WI, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on August 23, 2025.
Linda was born in Grantsburg, WI, to Albert and Gladys (Hedberg) McLain on February 20, 1948. A lifelong resident, she grew up in Grantsburg and attended the local school district.
After high school, she worked various jobs before starting with EMT services, which she spent over 35 years before retirement.
Linda deeply cherished time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She beamed whenever they were around.
If you knew Linda, you knew that she loved her puzzles. Cozying up with her coffee, she would let herself get lost in them and spend hours focused on them.
Linda would collect pop tabs from numerous people, collecting well over one million, and donating them to the Ronald McDonald house charity. She would regularly have family and friends, along with others drop them off to her. Her loyalty has helped hundreds, if not thousands of children.
Linda is preceded in death by her loving husband, Pat Taylor, her parents, Albert and Gladys, grandson Bradley, her brothers, Art, Mike, and Willis, and her sisters, Goldie and Velma.
She is survived by her children, Tonja (Wade) Honeysett, Greg (Normita) Taylor, Tammy (Jim) Goad, David Taylor, Trisha (Brock) Davis, and PJ Taylor, brothers, Wayne (Shirley) McLain, Bruce (Doris) McLain, and Gene (Debbie) McLain, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life for Linda will be held in Grantsburg at a later date.
Linda’s final resting place will be with her husband Pat at Northwest Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI.
In lieu of flowers, please forward donations in Linda’s memory to the American Legion Brask-Fossum-Jenke Post 185 or Ronald McDonald House Charities.
