Liz Jahnke of Mounds View, MN passed away peacefully in her home Thursday, February 20, 2025. Liz was born in Deer Park, WI on October 19, 1939 to Sheldon and Helen Olson. She graduated from New Richmond High School in 1957. On September 28, 1958 she married David Jahnke. They later moved to Mounds View, MN where they raised their five children together.

Liz loved the outdoors and took great pride in her lawn and garden. She could often be found mowing her lawn or planting flowers, shrubs, and vegetables. Liz was always quick to offer a helping hand, especially if it was to wallpaper a home. She also loved sewing, and polka dancing. Being around her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought Liz great joy. She spent her time sharing and teaching her passion for her talents, and passing them down to all generations.

She is survived by sons Bradley (Wendy), Robert, and Daniel; daughters Roxanne (Mike) Collins, and Sonya (Brian) Tormanen; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters Dolly (Jim) Hemauer, and Beverly Owen; brother Larry (Diane) Olson; sisters-in-law Marlene Olson Kittle, Bev Olson, and Pamela Olson Ayers.

She is preceded in death by her husband David Jahnke; parents Sheldon and Helen Olson; brothers Richard, Allen, David, Roy, and Darryl Olson; and sister, Barb Polfus.

A Celebration of Life will be at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Osceola in the spring.
