Lloyd Kevin Berry, age 60, of Grantsburg, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019, at his home, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.  

Lloyd was born on October 1, 1959, in Fort Campbell, KY, to parents, Shirley (McCoy) and Elmer Berry.

On July 10, 1982, Lloyd was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Marcia, in Milford, IA. Together they raised two boys.

After living in the twin cities area, they settled in Grantsburg where they have lived together for the past 20 years.

Lloyd enjoyed music and playing his guitar. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors in his back yard, a space he truly made into his very own paradise. Lloyd was also fond of fishing in local lakes and the St. Croix River. Above all else, Lloyd loved being a dad, his pride and joy was his children. He will be deeply missed, but forever remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and dear friend to many.

Preceding him in in death is his father, Elmer; and father-in-law, Nels Nordblad.

Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Marcia; sons, Kevin (Rebecca) and Richard; mother, Shirley; brothers, Rod and Curtis; sister, Shirley; mother-in-law, Viola Nordblad; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends.

Per Lloyd’s wishes, no formal services will be held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Grantsburg.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to St. Croix Hospice for their exceptional care and compassionate staff.
