In Memory of Logan M. Mott

April 2, 2005 - December 15, 2025

Logan Michael Mott, passed away on December 15, 2025, after complications arising from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on September 6, 2021. Although Logan has departed this life, in addition to the amazing memories we will always cherish, he will live-on in our hearts and the lives of those lucky enough to receive his beautiful gifts.

Logan was born on April 2, 2005, to David & Brooke Mott, in Cumberland, WI. He grew up between Frederic & Cumberland and attended school in Cumberland, WI. Four years ago, and only a couple days into his Junior year of High School, Logan was the passenger in a devastating car accident that resulted in a severe traumatic brain injury, leaving him quadriplegic and nonverbal. Even though his brain was profoundly injured, his presence remained deeply felt by family and friends who never stopped believing in his dignity, worth, and humanity.

Throughout these years, Logan was cared for with unwavering devotion. His life became a testament to resilience, patience, and the enduring power of love. Even in silence, he taught those around him about compassion, perseverance, and hope.

Following a severe cardiac incident, and in accordance with his wishes, Logan became an organ donor. Through this final act of generosity, he gave the gift of life to others, allowing his legacy to live-on in ways that are both meaningful and life changing. Logan successfully donated his heart, his liver, and both kidneys. In addition, tissue & musculoskeletal (large bones) will also help many people. His lungs were accepted into research.

Logan had a sense of humor, a keen sense of style (mostly white), a love of fancy cars, and a passion for basketball & football. He was a lover of all things furry, especially cats. He had a very kind heart and never wanted to see anyone left out. He loved music and therefore took piano lessons for years, which led to playing percussion in the band. He had quite the ability to argue, and his competitive side led to many tears if he was unable to purchase Boardwalk & Park Place during game nights. Our lives will never be the same without our boy. We have found a sense of peace, knowing he is whole again.

Logan is preceded in death by his cat, Gibby, his paternal Grandfather, David C. Mott, and all his great grandparents: Ellis & Lorna Erickson, Max & Lois Cruthers, Gordon & Miriam Mott, Murray & Marion Butts.

Logan is survived by his loving parents, Dave & Brooke, his sister Kamryn; Grandparents: Michael & Diana Erickson, Judy Hughes. Aunts and Uncles: Selena (Jason) Frenette, Hilary (Jake) Ridgeway, Simon Mott, Mileah Mott, Abe Mott, Amos (Rhonda) Mott. Cousins: Madison Frenette, Hailey & Carter Ridgeway, Kiley & Amelie Mott, and Keith & Connor Mott who will forever carry his memory in their hearts, also many friends and family.

A memorial service will be held on December 23, 2025, at Hope Community Church in Cumberland, Wisconsin. Visitation will begin at noon and services will begin at 2 p.m.

Though his journey was marked by hardship, Logan’s story is ultimately one of love, sacrifice, and heroism. He has touched so many lives. Logan will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
