
In Memory of Lois A. (Gillett) Bilodeau
Lois A. Bilodeau, age 101, of rural Cameron/Chetek, WI died Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Barron Care and Rehabilitation, where she received excellent care. She was born April 17, 1925, to Wendell and Flossie (Usher) Gillett east of Dallas, WI, and grew up in the Bear Lake area east of Chetek. She married Bernard A. Bilodeau on April 18, 1945, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Chetek.
Lois was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Cameron and was active in the Altar and Rosary Society. In the past, she served as a 4-H leader and enjoyed snowmobiling with family and friends. She loved to travel with her family and enjoyed R.V. camping, taking trips to Florida, the west coast, Quebec and the Canadian Rockies. Lois’ number one thing in life was her family. She loved them dearly, and they came before anything. She was an excellent cook and could prepare a great meal with whatever she found in the fridge.
Surviving are her children: Arllyn, Charles and Joseph (Linda) Bilodeau, all of the Cameron/Chetek area; grandchildren: Michael (Jenny) Bilodeau, Scott Bilodeau and Lisa (Danny) Dennis, great-grandchildren: Kyle and Mariah Bilodeau, as well as several godchildren, other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Bernard on November 5, 2006, son and daughter in-law: Robert and Linda Bilodeau, daughter: Luann Bilodeau, her parents, brothers: Duane Gillett, Clifford Gillett, Lawrence Gillett and Norman Gillette and sisters: Edith Francois, Doris Gouker and Myrtle Beardsley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12th, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Cameron with Father Mariadas Vallabhaneni officiating and interment following at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
