In Memory of Lois Hansen


September 29, 1946 - February 6, 2022

Lois Jean Hansen, 75, of Webster passed away peacefully Sunday, February 6, 2022 at her home.

Lois was born September 29, 1946 in Minneapolis MN to Ethel and James Duffy.

After James passed away in 1957, Lois was adopted by Luther Pederson. She graduated from high school at St Anthony; she attended college at St Cloud University, the University of Minnesota St Paul, and cosmetology school. She went on to own 2 beauty salons and worked for Redken and The Barbers. After moving to Wisconsin, she worked at the Rose Garden floral shop.

Lois married Roy Hansen on May 3, 1980, in Bloomington MN. Together they resided in Bloomington MN, Medina MN, and then moved to Johnson Lake in Webster. Lois volunteered at the Webster Library, Fort Folle Avione, and for many church activities. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, camping, travel, taking cruises, living at the lake, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was renowned for her excellent cooking and baking. After retirement, Lois and Roy enjoyed their winters in Alamo Texas, surrounded by many friends and lots of sunshine.

Lois was preceded in death by her Father James Duffy, Mother Ethel Pederson, Father Luther (Mickey) Pederson, and Brother Bobby Duffy.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Hansen; Roy's daughters, Katina (Paul) Lamberty and Karie (Bob) Thomas; brother, Gary (Pamela) Pederson; sister, Carol (Andy) Whitman; 5 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; and many cousins, nephews, nieces, and close friends.

Lois will be remembered with a memorial service to be held in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations can be made to either Fort Folle Avione in Danbury WI, Grace United Methodist Church of Webster WI, or the Alzheimer's Foundation.

Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home, Webster.
