Loretta Ludmilla Grilley Age 89, of Rice Lake, WI died Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the Atrium Acute Care in Chetek, WI.

She was born on September 15, 1929 in Rice Lake to Joseph and Mary (Havelka) Stodola. Loretta graduated from the Rice Lake High School in 1947 and then attended UW Stout for a year. She worked at resorts in the area and she also worked at UW Barron County Campus as a receptionist for 15 years. She was married to Orrin Grilley on October 7, 1953 in Cameron, WI. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Rice Lake Senior Centers. Loretta loved to play cards, read, watch the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and her whole family.

She is survived by a daughter, Laurie Grilley (Jim Jones) of Rice Lake; a son, Joe (Lanette) Grilley of Rice Lake; 4 grandsons, Jordan, Derek (Mandy), Rory (Brittney) and Tyler (Sarah) Grilley; 6 great grandchildren, Dawson, Camden, Easton, Eve, Finnley and Emmett; a sister, Veronica Saemon of Madison, WI; a brother, Paul Stodola of Leesberg, Florida; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orrin Grilley; her parents, Joseph and Mary Stodola; 3 sisters, Marie Jilek, Agnes Vanek and Dorothy Stodola; and 2 brothers, Joseph and Robert Stodola.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Thursday, July 25, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rice Lake, Father Ed Anderson officiating, with interment in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Cameron, WI. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the Funeral Service at the Church on Thursday.

Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rice Lake would be appreciated.
