In Memory of Lori A. Baillargeon

September 23, 1962 - November 1, 2022

Lori Ann Baillargeon, age 60, of Osceola passed away peacefully at home on November 1, 2022 surrounded by her family.

Lori was born on September 23, 1962 in Osceola, Wisconsin.

She was the oldest of four children born to Dennis and Mickey (Germain) Baillargeon. She was raised on the family farm and enjoyed feeding calves, helping in the garden and washing the dishes. She attended several area schools, spending most of her time at the Polk County Special Development Center where she made lasting friendships. The highlight of each school year was attending her school prom.

Lori lived a full and extraordinary life. She was a special person with a friendly personality, a perpetual smile and was affectionate to everyone she met with a big hug. That hug was usually followed by telling them her name, asking them to guess her age and then inviting them to her annual birthday party. You can imagine our parents surprise when an estimated 300 people showed up to her 40th birthday party! What a wonderful feeling it must have been for them to see she was adored by so many. Lori enjoyed attending any type of gathering, church, her cootie club get-togethers and watching the Vikings. Coming from a family of Packer fans, she certainly relished the friendly Sunday rivalry by wearing her Viking braids and horns and yelling “Go Vikes!”

Lori taught us how to truly appreciate life’s simple pleasures. At home, she enjoyed putting puzzles together, working on crafts to enter in the Osceola Community Fair, beading, her knitting board, playing records on her phonograph, shaking dice and doing word search books with her Mom. She kept a meticulous calendar of everyone’s birthday and would often send one of her homemade birthday cards in the mail. When it was your birthday, not only were you blessed with one of her cards, but also blessed with a phone call as early as 6:00am. She was proud of her craft work, but her proudest role was being an aunt to Bryce, Brock, Ali, Mia, Caleb, Jack and Beau.

Lori was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by her father Dennis; grandparents Abe and Danelda Baillargeon and Emma Jahnke.

She is survived by her loving mother Mickey; her furry friend Buddy; siblings, Terry (Jolene) Baillargeon, Osceola; Kelly (John) Montpetit, Somerset and Sherry (Mike) Campeau, Star Prairie; special friend of 34 years Marlene Kachelmyer, nieces, nephews, a great niece and great nephews and many other family and friends. Lori is also survived by her doting care team of Julie, Liz, Carol and Candy.

Lori was our gift from God. She taught us about life and love, inspired us to be better people, to be patient, to enjoy the simple things that life has to offer. She loved big and showed us that every day. She truly was a blessing to all of us. We will be eternally grateful to have had her in our lives.
