Louis John Molnar, age 88, of Cumberland passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025. He was born March 29, 1937, to Louis C. and Mary (Barnak) Molnar in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Western Michigan University.

Lou went on to be a very successful businessman as a manufacturer's representative, owning his own company, Louis J. Molnar and Associates Inc. Throughout his life he was an avid Chicago sports fan, cheering on both the Bears and the Cubs. He was an avid fisherman and loved playing golf and poker with his buddies. In retirement he and Patty, his partner of 25 years, enjoyed playing golf, bridge, and cribbage with friends and family.

There is no doubt that his charming personality, positive spirit and warm smile will be missed.

Louis is survived by his significant other, Patricia Talbot; daughters, Karen (William) Moehrle and Kathy Wencl; grandchildren, Michelle Moehrle, Billy (Elise) Moehrle, Scott Gisborne, and Derrick Nelson; great-grandchildren, Ella, Adelyn, Owen, and Brielle; and bonus children, Diane (Paul) Worwa, Megan Talbot (Jim Maier), and Christy (Jordan) Potvin.

He was preceded in death by his son, Louis J. Molnar II; and parents, Louis and Mary Molnar.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Amery. Visitation will be one hour prior at church. Private Interment at Lakeside Cemetery, Cumberland.
