In Memory of Lucille A. Carlson
Lucille A. Carlson, 92, Salem, Ore., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2024.
Lucille was born in February of 1932 at Deer Park, Wis., to Clarence and Bernice (Stone) Anderson. She graduated from Amery High School.
She married Winston Douglas Carlson on April 28, 1951. They raised two children, Craig and Siri.
Lucille had many careers in her life. She worked on her father’s dairy farm as a child and teen, did secretarial work, and drove a school bus for several years for the Barron Area School District.
She also owned and operated two western stores with Winston, one in Cameron, later moving to Rice Lake, and a store in Bend, Ore. She was also involved in the RV transportation business with Winston in Salem.
Surviving are a son Craig (Catherine); a daughter Siri Carlson; grandchildren Kendra Flores (Waylon), Kristin Carlson (John Vincent), Devrin Wright, Dustin Wright and Ellie Karlsson; and great-grandsons Johnny and Ethan.
Lucille will be interred next to Winston at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Ore. A memorial service will be held in Salem at a future date.
