Lyla Lucille Jones Age 91, of Rice Lake, WI died May 25, 2019 at the Heritage Lakeside in Rice Lake.

She was born on May 8, 1928 in Rice Lake to Carl and Esther (Johnson) Jones. Lyla babysat in her home and also went into their homes. She loved watching TV, playing bingo, putting puzzles together and being a mother.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Eva and Todd Saffert of Rice Lake; a son, Tom Jones of Angus, WI; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer, Jodie and Tiffany; 7 great grandchildren, Zachary, Beau, Zeanna, Nicole, Taryn, Jayce and Jazzlyn; a sister, Nellie Brawner of Angus, WI; 4 nieces and 3 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Esther Jones; and a sister, Velma Musil.

Services will be held at 4PM Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Rev. Mark Bartlett officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-4PM Saturday at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals.
