
In Memory of Lyle L. Swanson
Lyle Lee Swanson, 94, Hayward, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 8, 2026.
Lyle was born on January 31, 1932 in Hayward, WI to Ole and Mae (Becket) Swanson. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Lyle married Alice Seehuetter on April 4, 1953. She preceded him in death on August 13, 2015. After the war Lyle came home and owned and operated a dairy farm in Hayward for many years. He also worked as a salesman for many years for McKenzie Supply in Rice Lake.
Lyle married Pat Morua on February 4, 2025. They enjoyed spending the winter in Bullhead City, NV and going to casinos. Lyle’s summers were spent tending to his tomato plants alongside the house. He was proud of his great crops and seeing how many he could grow.
He is survived by his children Robert (Darlene) Swanson of Barnes, WI, Debra (Rick) Voelker of Springbrook, WI, Mark (Lauren) Swanson of Hayward, WI, and Paul (Tina) Swanson of Iron Mountain, MI; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alice and 4 sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 11:00am at the Hayward Funeral Home 15571W County Road B, Hayward, WI 54843. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00am until the time of the service.
A private family internment will be held at the Northern Wisconsin Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Spooner.
