“Little Flower”

Lynn Nell Begay, age 69, of Lac Courte Oreilles, WI, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025.

Lynn was born February 7, 1956, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Eugene & Bernice (Andersen) Begay.

She is survived by her husband Alexander “Sandy” Gillespie Jr.; sons David DeNasha & Alexander Gillespie III; grandchildren Emilo, Alexander IV, Carter & Giizhigaatekwe; and siblings Kathy Begay, Paula Begay-Hague, John Begay, Mary “Tish” Begay & Josie Begay.

Lymm was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother Lucille Begay; and brothers Eugene Begay Jr. & Daniel Begay.

Midewiwin Funeral Rites will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 29, 2025, at Big Drum Ceremonial Center in Lac Courte Oreilles. Chato “Ombishkebines” Gonzalez & Gary “Ne-aan-da-wed” Quaderer Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Chief Lake Cemetery in Hayward. Visitation will begin at sundown, Sunday, September 28th at Big Drum Ceremonial Center.
