
In Memory of Mardelle R. Peper
Mardelle Rae (Foth) Peper, age 79, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
Mardelle was born March 2, 1947, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Raymond and Lillian Foth. She grew up surrounded by family and lifelong friendships that remained important to her throughout her life.
On June 14, 1969, she married the love of her life, Gary Peper, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Together they built a beautiful life and family. In April 1971, they welcomed twin sons, Mark and Craig, and later welcomed their son David in 1974.
Mardelle found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved baking, traveling, bowling, crossword puzzles, playing bingo, and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed reading books by Stephen King. She was a lifelong member of the VFW Auxiliary in Clear Lake, Wisconsin, and was proud to have been involved with Alcoholics Anonymous for over 20 years.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Peper; her children, Mark (Sarah), Craig, and David (Justina); her grandchildren, Nicole, Kayla, Jack, and Amaya; six great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Tony, Hayden, Titus, Onyx, and Forest; her brother, Mike (Carol) Foth; her sister, Janet Sayles; sisters-in-law Marlene, Charlotte, Lois, and Debbie; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents; her parents-in-law; her brother, Bill Foth; brothers-in-law John, Charlie, and Norm; sister-in-law Berdean; and granddaughter, Mackenzie.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Balsam Lutheran Church in Amery, Wisconsin. Visitation will take place at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service, with a luncheon to follow.
Burial will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, Wisconsin.
Mardelle will be remembered for her warmth, her devotion to family, and the kindness and joy she brought to all who knew her.
