Marie A. Shepherd, age 88, of Webster, formerly of Minneapolis, died peacefully after a brief battle with cancer, on February 2, 2022.

Marie was born on August 11, 1933 in Wayzata, MN, the first of four children of Anne Gardner.

She was raised in Wayzata and attended St. Bartholomew Church. On November 13, 1954.

Marie was united in marriage to Victor M, Shepherd of Minneapolis. They raised five children; Edward, Patrick, Rochelle, Thomas and Annette. Marie was a home maker until 1975, when she went to work for Chicago Title Ins. Co. of Bloomington and worked there as head of delivery for 15 years, then they bought Oak Haven Resort in Bemidji, MN. They operated the resort from 1990-2000 where they made many lifelong friends. Marie and Victor retired to Voyager Village in Webster in 2000.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, a son-in-law and loving husband of 62 years.

She is survived by all 5 children, 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are greatly appreciated. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at a future date to be announced.

Marie and Victor will be laid to rest in a Veteran Memorial Cemetery at a future date after her services.

Arrangements are entrusted to Rowe Funeral Home and the Northwest Wisconsin Cremation Center in Milltown.
