In Memory of Marion E. Reynolds


August 9, 1944 - August 29, 2022

Marion Elizabeth Reynolds “Bwemweweshing”, age 78, a resident of Webster, WI passed away on August 29, 2022 at the Maple Ridge Care Center in Spooner, WI.

Marion was born on August 9, 1944 in Hayward, WI to parents John and Susie (Taylor) Butler. She attended grade school in Hertel, and then graduated from Siren High School.

On January 31, 1965, she married George Reynolds Sr. They started their family that year in the Twin Cities area and then moved to Hinckley, MN for some time before settling in the Sand Lake Community of Hertel, WI to raise their 5 children.

Marion held various jobs over the years including dental hygienist and receptionist for the St. Croix Tribal Clinic.

In her younger years, she loved bowling, throwing horseshoes and playing softball. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, watching her favorite television shows, listening to country music and playing bingo.

Marion is preceded in death by the love of her life, George Reynolds Sr., parents, John and Susan; brothers, Clarence Butler, Anthony Butler and Leo Butler; sister, Rose Churchill; and great grandson, Royal Bearheart.

She is survived by her brother, Leonard “Babe” Butler; sister, Wanda Taylor; children, Lisa Reynolds, George (Melissa) Reynolds, Susan (Chuck) Powell, Margaret Reynolds and Anthony Reynolds; grandchildren, Alicia Reynolds, Jacob (Leah) Reynolds, Nathan Schaefer, Kiana (Johnathon) Bearheart, Theron Reynolds, Jessa Reynolds, Coreesa Powell, Daviah Reynolds, Damarion Borden, Hailey Reynolds, Alexis Reynolds and Isabella Reynolds; great grandchildren, Jaxon, Gannen, Breysin, Traejan, Lainey, Kalani and Koree; along with other relatives and friends.

Friends may call after 5:00 PM on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at the St. Croix Tribal Center in Hertel, WI. Services will be held 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at the St. Croix Tribal Center with Skip Churchill as the Spiritual Leader. Interment will take place after the service at the Sand Lake Cemetery with pallbearers Joseph Oustigoff, David St. John Sr., Mark Stoner Sr., Jaxon Reynolds, Gannen Reynolds, and Theron Reynolds. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Reynolds, Chuck Powell, Nathan Schaefer and Carmen Butler.

Arrangements were entrusted to Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home.
