Martin “Marty” Conrad Haglund, age 74, of Rice Lake, WI, died Friday, November 28, 2025 in Rice Lake.

He was born on April 9, 1951 in Mauston, WI to Norman and Verna (Draves) Haglund. Marty graduated from Mt. Horeb High School in Mt. Horeb, WI. He entered the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam Era where he became a Navy Seal and was in the Special Forces and was later Honorably Discharged. He was married to Sarah Dellis on April 12, 1974 in San Diego, CA. Marty graduated from Pt. Loma Nazarene College in San Diego, CA with a degree in Pastoral Theology and Biblical Studies.

Marty was a Pastor, Counselor, Mentor and a Military Brother. He was a strict, intellectual, diligent, faithful, righteous, courageous, selfless, intimidating, logical, disciplined, adventurous, smart, compassionate, witty and a loving man.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Haglund; 2 daughters, Heather (Dave) Hess and Allison (Jake) Leckel; 3 grandchildren, Kaleb, Joy and Bekah; honorary daughter in Holland, Marianne (Jerry) Webster; a brother, Mark (Mona) Haglund; a sister, Marsha (Robert) Kellesvig; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Verna Haglund.

A celebration of his life will be held from 2-4PM Saturday, December 6, 2025, where there will be a prayer service at 3:30PM, and Military Rites accorded him by the Rice Lake Veteran Honor Guard Team Members at 4PM at Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.
