Mary Ellen Bloom age 62, of Rice Lake, Wisconsin passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Mary was born on February 23, 1963, in Peoria, Illinois to Donald and Anna Marie (Gazza) Hinckle. She graduated from Chetek High school. She was united in marriage to Thomas Bloom on May 19, 1992.

Mary was the owner and operator of Marys Midway Bar in Rice Lake since August 18, 1988. In her free time, she loved playing golf, gambling, puzzles, traveling, gardening, crafting diamond art, spending time with friends and family and enjoying time with her cats.

Mary found her calling early in life and was always willing to help anyone in need and because of her selfless personality she made many lifelong friends.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Bloom; children and stepchildren, AshLee (Jared) Knapp, Jeanie (Cedric) Price, Erin (Aaron) Kasper; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a brother, Don (Paula) Hinckle; a sister, Nancy (Mike) Secore as well as many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Mary's life will be held from 11 - 3 PM Saturday, December 27th, 2025, at the Rice Lake Moose Lodge.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Benjamins House or the Barron County Cat coalition.
