In Memory of Mary Jo Isham

March 3, 1976 - August 26, 2024

Mary Jo Isham, age 48, of Lac Courte Oreilles, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024.

Mary Jo was born March 3, 1976, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Shirley Isham and Thomas Miller. We are celebrating the life of a woman whose heart was filled with the love of family and friends. Mary Jo was more than a mother, sister, cousin or friend; she was the best auntie in the world. She was always there offering her guidance and her own special brand of love that only she could provide. Mary Jo’s other passions in life include her love of gambling, playing cards and shaking dice. Keno was her game of choice, and boy was she lucky. Mary Jo loved sharing moments of joy with her loved ones, especially with her Hunna Bun, Kingston Stevens. She had a way of brightening and bringing laughter into the room. Mary Jo enjoyed collecting rocks, picking blackberries and let’s not forget her loyalty to the Minnesota Vikings. Win or lose, Mary Jo was their biggest fan, cheering them on every season. She wore purple and gold with pride. She was a rock for many of us – always there with kind words, a listening ear and a warm embrace. Mary Jo watched over us, cared for us, and made us feel loved in ways that only words can describe. Let us hold onto the warmth she shared with us. Let us remember her laughter, her kindness and unwavering love for friends and family. Mary Jo’s legacy will live on forever.

She is survived by her children Thomas “TJ” Isham, Kevin Stevens & KeShawna (Dylan LaFave) Stevens; grandson Kingston “Hunna Bun” Stevens; sister Roxanne (Louie Corbine) Isham; nieces and nephews Alicia (Cory Cross) Wolfe-Cross, Katrina Wolfe, Selina Isham, Aja Isham, Carlena Dennis, Jason Morrow, Darren & Jared Kagigebi, Veva & Sammy Gonzales.
