
In Memory of Maryann (Ruda) Jasek
Maryann (Ruda) Jasek, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Aspen Acres Care Center in Hayward, Wisconsin.
Maryann was born on May 12, 1939, in Thorp, Wisconsin to parents Walter and Anna (Kostick) Ruda. Maryann was united in marriage to Joseph John Jasek of Lublin, Wisconsin, on April 18, 1958. Maryann and Joe were members of the Presbyterian Church in Radisson, Couderay, and Winter.
Maryann resided on the Chippewa Flowage in Couderay with her beloved husband Joe, and their 3 sons. Maryann worked at Tiger Musky Resort for many years. Her hobbies and interests included fishing, cooking, canning, feeding the birds and growing an outstanding garden. She was known for her dill pickles. She immensely loved her grandchildren, and had an instrumental part in raising them.
Maryann is survived by her three sons: Bruce Jasek, Jim (Patty) Jasek, Gary (Susie) Jasek, 6 grandchildren: Jessica (Jim) Spinner, Travis Jasek, Katie (Michael) Johnson, Kyle Jasek, Cody (Kayla) Jasek, Jacob Jasek, 3 great grandchildren: Sage, Brooke, Brynn Spinner, 3 sisters: Sharon (Rick) Dallas, Carol Burns, Geri (Dave) Ebben, and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Maryann is preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Joseph, granddaughter Samantha Jo Jasek, sister Lucy Borek, niece Karen Borek, as well as her brothers in law, sisters in law, and many other relatives.
A celebration of Maryann’s life will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 1pm, at the Hayward Funeral Home with Pastor Chad McCallum officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, at the funeral home, from 11-1. Interment will be held at the Radisson Cemetery at a later time.
Her family graciously asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to Aspen Acres Activity Department in Maryann’s name.
