In Memory of Marylin R. Anderson
Marylin Rose Anderson, age 87, of Hudson, WI and formerly of Webb Lake, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025, at Woodland Hill Assisted Living. She was born on June 28, 1937, in Minneapolis to Angela B. (Wolin) and Bert B. Carlson.
She grew up in Minneapolis, MN and attended South High School. She received both her Bachelor and Master degrees from the University of MN. She met her husband, Roger, at the U of MN Rovers Club. She and Roger married on February 21, 1959, and were married for 59 years!
Marylin's career as a Physical Therapist began in Roseville, MN, and she finished her career at Putnam Heights School in Eau Claire WI, retiring June 1994.
Marylin had many interests and hobbies. She was very proud of being a girl scout and continued to pursue girl scout activities like hiking, biking, and camping throughout the rest of her life. She very much enjoyed her time camping with her daughter, Kristin. Marylin was an Instrument Rated pilot and spent many hours "in the air". She was particularly proud of being of member of the MN 99's where she was honored to be able to fly blood donations to hospitals in St. Paul and Minneapolis.
She and Roger lived their time at Webb Lake. They bought the cabin in 1964 and spent 53 years enjoying Lake Life! Although they traveled extensively after retirement, they always preferred being at "The Lake.”
She will be dearly missed by her children and grandchildren and will be remembered as the grandma who never passed up an opportunity for adventure!
Survivors include her children, Kristin (Matt) Brandt and Brian (Jacki) Anderson; her grandchildren, Kari (James) Anderson-Lower, Michael Brandt, Caleb Anderson, Cora Anderson, Joseph Brandt, and Linnea Brandt; several nephews; other relatives and friends.
Marylin was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roger Anderson; and her brother, Wolin (Leona) Carlson. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lakeview Hospice, Stillwater MN or Webster WI Animal Shelter.
A Memorial Service for Marylin will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Woodland Hill Assisted Living in Hudson, WI. Visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of the service.
