Measha Lea Vaughn, 55, of River Falls, WI passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN, surrounded by family.

She was born on March 12, 1971 to Dale Vaughn and Cindy Olson (Marquand) in Amery, WI. Measha grew up and graduated high school from Turtle Lake, WI in 1989. She then attended UW Stout University in Menomonie, WI and later WITC in New Richmond, WI where she received her OTA Certificate.

She met her beloved Andy Bennett and they enjoyed more than 15 years together. They built her dream life on the Bennett Family Farm where everyone discovered she was a “bull whisperer.” She loved animals and had a gift for naming (and nicknaming) them. Riding the Kubota and foraging for mushrooms was a cherished time and they took their dogs everywhere for adventures.

Measha truly was the queen of conversation and laughter. She delighted in the details of everyone she knew and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved her sunsets and her moon (known to say “look at my moon!!”). She loved taking photos. Her handwriting was an art form of its own. Her favorite times were spent laughing with friends and family.

Measha began her working career as a caretaker and she always put the needs of others before her own. More recently she worked at TCLAD Inc in Prescott, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale Vaughn and Cindy Olson (Marquand); sister, Marcey Vaughn; and nephew, Daniel Lillie.

Measha is survived by her stepfather, Lorne Olson; her beloved Andy Bennett and kids, Keith Bennett and Justine Bennett; sister, Melanie (Mike) Becker; step-sisters, Rochelle (Tim Tew) Olson and Christine (Josh) Pavleck; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
