Michael Coupe, Sr. age 62, of Minong, WI passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at his home.

Michael Patrick Coupe was born March 9, 1964, in St. Paul, MN the son of Frederick and Mary (Benscooter) Coupe. He was raised in St. Paul and attended school there. Michael attended Job Corps and received training to be a cook, something he enjoyed throughout his life. After his training, Michael worked at several restaurants in Minnesota including Gabe’s by the Park.

In 1996, Michael moved to Hayward, WI where he continued to work as a cook. Michael worked for the LCO Casino for many years and then worked at Italia Ristorante in Northwood Beach, tended bar at Snowshoe and then worked at Wal-Mart and Dollar General. Michael was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed fishing, diamond art and anything Jeep. He liked being outdoors and collecting coins and two-dollar bills.

Michael is survived by his four children, Brandy (Angelo) Perry, Mike Coupe Jr., Tandi (John) Hanlon, Faith Christensen, all of Hayward; thirteen grandchildren, one great grandchild; siblings, Danny, Deanna, Heidi, Billy Jo, Michael, Mary, and George Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Coupe and Mary Warner.

A celebration of life will be held for Michael at 13034W Water Tower Lane, Hayward, WI from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, 2026.
