Michael Dale Palmer, age 72, of Rice Lake, WI, originally of Rolling Meadows, Illinois passed away peacefully at home, Monday, March 4, 2024.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Palmer, their 4 daughters, (Kate, Megan, Molly, and Carrie), 8 grandchildren, and a loving extended family.

Mike had a deep love of nature and the Northwoods since the age of 15 from his first canoe trip in the Boundary Waters with Voyageur Outward Bound School in Ely, Minnesota. He was a trusted friend and wonderful listener with a strong faith in God. A man with many talents and interests, Mike was a veteran of the US Army, licensed tree expert, log home builder, and marriage and family therapist.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Wi is assisting the family with the arrangements.
