In Memory of Michael H. Colgan


December 24, 1947 - February 2, 2025

Michael H. Colgan, of Milltown, Wisconsin, passed away from cancer on February 2, 2025, at the age of 77.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 25 years, Tami; his son, Chris (Christine) Colgan; stepdaughter Jaclyn (David) Kissinger; grandchildren, Sabrina Frazier, Jordan Colgan, and Jake Colgan; and great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Colgan. He will also be deeply missed by many dear friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Mary Colgan; his first wife Linda; his son, Matt Colgan; and his brother, Jerry Jacobson.

Born on December 24, 1947, in St. Paul, Minnesota, Michael dedicated much of his career to St. Paul Public Schools as an engineer before retiring. In his later years, he remained active in the community through various roles, including working as a vendor at the Pink Squirrel Store in Grantsburg, the Good Old Days Auction House in Milltown, and Marketplace Foods in St. Croix Falls.

A passionate car enthusiast, Michael found great joy in attending car shows and working on his beloved 1979 Pontiac Firebird, which he proudly drove whenever possible. He also enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with friends and family.

Michael will be laid to rest at Oakland Cemetery in St. Paul, Minnesota, alongside his son and his first wife, Linda, at a later date.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Good Old Days Auction House, 108 Central Ave, Milltown, WI 54858. A second celebration of life will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the American Legion Arcade-Phalen, 1129 Arcade St, St. Paul, MN 55106.

Michael will be remembered for his kindness, passion for classic cars, and the many friendships he cherished throughout his life.
