Michael P. Flaherty, age 66 of Clear Lake, WI, died unexpectedly at Regions Hospital In St. Paul, MN on May 21, 2026.

Michael Patrick Flaherty was born on July 16, 1959 in Mahtomedi , MN  the son of Richard & Yvonne (Francois) Flaherty. He grew up in Mahtomedi and graduated from high school there. In his early 30’s, Mike moved to Southern California, attended Frederick Taylor University and received a bachelors degree in business Administration. After graduation, he then spent 10 years as a manager at Specialty Coating Systems in Ontario, CA. On February 23, 1987, he was married to Sally Norlander in South Dakota and together they raised 4 children, Jamie, Michael, Cassondra & Taylor.

Mike later moved to Clear Lake, WI to manage the SCS location and made his home there for the rest of his life. In his spare time he enjoyed cooking, golf, and sports, especially fantasy football. Mike served for many years on the Clear Lake Village board. He especially loved spending time at his camper with his children and grandchildren and will be sorely missed by those who loved him.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Richard & Yvonne Flaherty; brothers, Rocky Flaherty, Peter & Gregory Metzdorf; and grandson, Croix Schoenrock.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Flaherty; Children: Jamie (Richard) Lind, Michael Flaherty, Cassondra (Dustin) Ranallo, Taylor Flaherty; Grandchildren: Rylen & Alexa Emerson, Leila Schoenrock, Aubrie Flaherty, Aubree & Nora Ranallo; Brothers, James (Michelle) Flaherty, Daniel (Kellie) Flaherty.

There will be a Celebration of Michael’s life at a later date.
