Millie M. Hiemstra age 75, of Cumberland, Wisconsin passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at her home.

Millie was born on March 3, 1951 in Cumberland, Wisconsin to Robert Sr. and Donna (Bragg) Moss. She attended school in Cumberland and graduated in 1969. She went on to obtain her certified nursing assistant (CNA) degree. She worked in the extended care unit in Cumberland for nearly 30 years in many different roles and continued to serve the Cumberland community in a healthcare capacity by providing home health care.

She was united in marriage to Fred Buchholz and to this union 3 children were born, Rob, Tom and Tammi. They later divorced. She was united in marriage on April 3, 1993, to Floyd Hiemstra until his passing on March 13, 2011. The last 13 years of her life was spent with her companion Aaron "Butch" Knight. In her free time, she loved spending time with her friends and family and going for rides on the motorcycle. She was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan.

Millie is survived by sons, Rob (Lisa) Buchholz and Tom (Jen) Buchholz; Pat (Laurel) Hiemstra, Rick (Connie) Hiemstra and Melissa Dirkson; grandchildren, Amanda (Tyler) Kilcoyne, Shane (Brandi) Buchholz, Josh Swanson, and Jason Buchholz; several step-grandchildren, Joshuah, Chaunce (Sam), Bailey (Robbie), Chase, Damion (Taylor) and Cordell as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; Siblings, Bob Moss, Gary (Theda) Moss, Debbie (Dennis) Pedersen, Greg Moss, Dorine Larson, Terry (Pam) Moss.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Donna; a daughter, Tammi Buchholz, husband, Floyd Hiemstra, ex-husband, Fred "Sonny" Buchholz and significant other, Butch Knight.

Funeral Services will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Kilcoyne Memorial Services, 637 N. Main Street Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from 10:30 - 12 PM at the funeral home prior to the service. A luncheon will be held immediately following the service at the funeral home. A private family interment will be held at the McKinley Cemetery at a later date.
