Monica May Parent was born on April 7, 1970 to her parents Donald and Sophie (Flynn) Parent in Fort Knox, Kentucky. She attended school up to the first part of her senior year. Monica worked many jobs throughout her life; however her favorite was being a mother to her son Adam that she loved with all her heart.

She enjoyed traveling, especially to Alaska, watching scary movies, reading, doing puzzles and collecting knickknacks. She had quite a green thumb and had lots of plants and she had names for all of them. Monica loved animals and had many of them through the years.

Monica passed away unexpectedly on August 10, 2025 in Hudson, Wisconsin at the age of 55. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. Monica was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Sophie. She is survived by her son, Adam Lee Parent-Joyner and Adam’s father, Jerry Joyner; her sisters, Martha Hake, Mary May and Molly Parent; brothers, Albie Gartz and Marvin Parent; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, many extended family and friends. Monica will be missed.
