In Memory of Nancy A. Kouba


August 25, 1973 - September 9, 2023

Nancy Anne Kouba, age 70, passed away at the Frederic Nursing Home on September 9, 2023 with her loving husband of 50 years by her side. Nancy was born on May 22, 1953, to Edward and Lucille Prince in Chippewa Falls, WI.

She married Joseph Kouba on August 25, 1973. In 1974 they moved to Webster, WI where they raised 4 kids. Later she went back to school for CNA, where she found her calling at Capeside Cove taking care of people. She worked as a home health care aide towards the end of her career for Indianhead. Nancy was a wizard as an accountant and found a job at the casino, which she loved. In her spare time, she loved taking care of her beautiful flowers and going on cross country motorcycle adventures with her husband. Something that she was very proud of was graduating the TOPS program with a certificate. After striving through many health challenges, she spent the last 10 years spending time with her family and her beloved grandkids and great grandkids. Nancy was the most caring and selfless person. She is greatly loved and will be missed by all.

Nancy is preceded in death by her daughter, Angela; granddaughter, Joanna; parents, Edward and Lucille; sisters, Nelda Anderson Garnett and Judeen Prince Getchell.

She will be greatly missed by her Husband, Joseph “Joe” Norman Kouba; Children, Jeffrey Kouba, Rebecca (Russ) Copeland, Peter (Chandra) Kouba, Nicholas (Amy) Kouba; Siblings, Linda McCluskey, Lyle Prince and Gloria Clark; Grandchildren, Cory, Tony, Caylie, Paige and Isaac; Great Grandchildren, Gabriel, Carson and Briana; along with other family members and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023 from 4-7 PM at Swedberg-Taylor Funeral Home in Webster, WI.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM (visitation from 10-11) at St. John’s Catholic Church in Webster, WI. Interment will take place at the St. Paul’s North Catholic Cemetery in Bloomer, WI.
