Neva Arlene Slayton, age 90, of Barron, WI formerly of Rice Lake, WI passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Barron Care and Rehab.

She was born April 18, 1931 in St. Croix Falls, WI to Allen and Viola (Gard) Houston.

Neva was a homemaker all of her life and also worked at the Northland Care Center (Heritage Manor) as a CNA.

Neva is survived by children, Sherry Liska, Debra (John) Stouffer, Donna (David) Olson, Raymond (Shirley) Slayton, David (Amy) Slayton, Goodwin (Sue) Fankhauser, Hubert (Stormey) Slayton and Herbert (Carol) Krout; 24 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by children, Clarice Slayton and John Slayton; and a grandchild, Herman Sam Behme.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Appleyard’s Home for Funerals in Rice Lake.
