Norma Jean (Turgeson) Lundequam 78 of Juneau, (formerly of Barron), passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.

Norma was one of 18 children born to Stanley & Luella (Kuhrt) Turgeson. She was child #9. Norma grew up and lived in Barron County area until she retired from Jennie-o. She enjoyed watching her 3 oldest grandchildren grow up and attend all their sporting events, concerts and many other activities they were involved in. She later moved to Juneau, where she then got to enjoy her 3 youngest grandchildren grow up and enjoy all their activities as well. Family was everything to her. We all loved her dearly.

Norma had a heart of gold, which she passed on to her 3 daughters & grandchildren. She was blessed with 2 great grandchildren, Sadie & Beckett. Just when she thought she couldn’t fill her heart anymore. She would randomly bust out laughing thinking of the things the grandkids did, do and said. Norma could always get you to laugh and we will cherish those memories.  She was the kind of woman that never wanted anyone to fuss over her. She would rather do everything for everyone and help every chance she could, no matter how big or small.

She will be missed by many including her 3 daughters, Renee Skar of Rice Lake, Jenifer (Doug) Solie of Cameron, and Jill (Derek) Marquardt of Juneau; special family friend (4th daughter), Chandra Harmon of Cameron; grandchildren, Chris Skar of Rice Lake, Toshia Solie of Duluth, MN, Deven (Christina) Solie of Chetek, Morgan (Andrew) Powers of Waupun, Mackenzie Marquardt (Brandon) of Sheboygan Falls, and Karson Marquardt of Juneau; Great-Grandchildren, Sadie & Beckett; brothers, Ronald (Patricia) Turgeson of Rice Lake, John Turgeson of Chetek, Doug (Kathy) Turgeson of Barron; sisters, Nancy (Chuck) Miller of Brooklyn Park, MN, Rosemary (Clayton) Wold of Prairie Farm, Beverly Huset of Barron, Vicki Walker of Rice Lake, Karen Kurschner of Barron, Kristine Turgeson of Barron and Louann Turgeson of Rice Lake; sister-in-law, Judy Turgeson; brother-in-law, John Ordway; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews, great-great-nieces & nephews; as well as many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stan & Luella Turgeson; brothers, Donald, Roger, Stuart, Jeffery and & David Turgeson; sisters, Patricia Farr & Rebecca Ordway; son-in-law, Craig Skar; as well as best friend and partner in crime, Barbara Paulson.

A memorial service for Norma will be held in the near future.
