Patricia Marie Mattson, age 74, of Luck, Wisconsin, entered eternal rest on August 18, 2025.

Patricia (Pat) was born on March 12, 1951, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Donna Mae and Lawrence Arthur Furchner. She graduated from Saint Agnes High School in 1969. While working at West Publishing in St. Paul, she met the love of her life, John Mattson. Just three months after their first date on his farm in Luck, Wisconsin, they were engaged, and on March 31, 1973, Pat married John, trading her city life to embrace country living by his side.

Pat was a wife, mother, and grandmother whose life radiated faith, love, and cherished friendships. She shared her creativity and passions in many ways. She painted oil portraits, trained and showed dogs, and worked as a dog groomer. She also enjoyed crafting and brought music to life on both the guitar and ukulele. Her enthusiasm for African violets carried her across the country, where she shared her knowledge as both a grower and judge.

As a woman of deep faith, Pat was baptized in the Wood River in 1980 and remained active in her church community, volunteering at the local food pantry and finding ways to bless others. She was always ready with her infectious giggle and wearing her signature pink sparkly Crocs or light-up shoes that brought smiles wherever she went.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donna and Lawrence Furchner; her brothers, Earl Furchner and Arthur "Art" Furchner; her grandson, Mason; and her beloved aunt Dolly. She is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Jenna Miller and Sarah (Mark) Robinson; grandchildren, Garrett, Gavin, Paige, Carter, and Aviana; three great-grandchildren, her sister Rita (Gary) Strafelda; and many dear friends and extended family.

Pat's infectious giggle, her creative spirit, and her unwavering faith touched countless lives. She traded her light-up shoes for streets of gold, but the light she brought to this world will continue to shine in all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Wood River Christian Fellowship, with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and the service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to John Mattson to assist with medical and funeral expenses.
